Mother Daughter Dates

This spring at ANIJA, a series of meaningful mother-daughter dates created intentional time between moms and daughters. These gatherings nurtured an environment to strengthen relationships and deepen communication, giving both mothers and daughters the chance to grow closer.

Using the Dannah Gresh True Girl curriculum, the daughters learned the values of biblical womanhood and seeking God’s heart as a woman. The mothers explored the significance of the relationship they have with their daughter and the role they play in their daughter’s personal growth.

One of the most formative parts of the experience was the exchange of personal letters.

Each mother and daughter took time to share words from the heart—an opportunity to speak love, encouragement, and hopes for one another. Many shared that this was the first time they’d expressed these things so directly.

The dates included games together, as well as moments of relaxation and celebration. Spa time offered a chance to slow down and enjoy each other’s presence, while special treats and desserts made the gatherings feel joyful and memorable.

Most significantly, the mothers and daughters were presented with the Gospel, leading some to make the decision to accept Christ as their Savior.

Through these intentional times together, seeds were planted—not just for closer mother-daughter bonds, but for long-lasting spiritual growth and family transformation.
