Back to school!
All sevens Kids Alive schools in the DR are back for the fall semester!
The start of a new school year always brings excitement and joy. It also brings hope and opportunity for hundreds of children and young people.
This fall, over 2,000 students are stepping into classrooms across our seven schools. 200 of those children are brand new Kids Alive kids! They come from communities where education is limited and daily life is filled with challenges.
When on campus, children are welcomed into a safe, loving environment where their needs are cared for—academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. From motor sensory rooms, after-school sports, and the supplemental nutrition program to daily devotions in scripture, chapels, and worship — bodies and minds and hearts will be transformed this year.
Students receive daily meals, medical and dental support, trauma-informed counseling, and Christian discipleship. These supports help students like Josué, who entered Eva May Russell School and experienced life-changing care. With consistent intervention and encouragement, he has grown into a confident young leader and follower of Christ.
As we begin this new year, we invite you to join us in prayer for:
Smooth transitions for preschoolers and families new to Kids Alive
Continued strength for our 350+ national staff who serve faithfully every day
Provision for students still waiting for a Student Champion—someone to walk alongside them in prayer, encouragement, and support
This new school year is full of potential, and we know God will work in powerful ways as students learn from His Word and experience Christian discipleship and care.
