Class of 2025: Palo Blanco School

Celebrating the largest graduating class from Palo Blanco School — our only school to go through 12th grade!

In June, 22 seniors received their high school diplomas at Palo Blanco School—the largest graduating class in the school’s history. Many of these students began their journey at just three years old. Many graduate as the first in their family to complete a high school education.

Palo Blanco is the only Kids Alive school in the Dominican Republic that goes all the way through 12th grade. And in a neighborhood where most children once didn’t finish sixth grade, this moment signals a deep, lasting transformation.

The barrio of Palo Blanco has a reputation as one of the roughest in Jarabacoa, known for violence, brokenness, and limited opportunity. But that reputation is slowly changing. Church plants are thriving. Education levels are rising. Families are growing stronger. And these graduates are both fruit and fuel for that change.

One young woman shared, “If I had been in a public school, I might not have finished. This school taught us about God and Jesus. A teacher helped me through a difficult time and connected me to a church.”

Another wrote, “Vida Para Niños (Kids Alive) helped me in every way. Sports helped me in all areas of my life. The teachers were consistent and helped me grow academically.”

Several shared their hopes for the future: to become veterinarians, engineers, police officers, artists. One student said, “I’m grateful to be part of Vida Para Niños. It’s a place that helped me draw closer to God. The teachers showed me love and truth.”

Another reflected, “Every moment at this school was special. I’m thankful for the kindness I received.”

Christ-centered, holistic care is breaking broken cycles in Palo Blanco—education, spiritual formation, emotional healing, and daily provision all rooted in the grace of God. These graduates walk into adulthood with more than academic achievement. They carry vision, dignity, and a living testimony of what God can do when His people invest long-term in His children.

“Here I learned values, knowledge, and most of all, to trust in God. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.” — 2025 Graduate

“This school has been a place where I learned to know God and strengthen my faith. I am very thankful for that.”

“Vida Para Niños has helped me in every area of my life. I am very grateful for everything I learned and the support I was always given.”
